Yuppi Camp organises free therapeutic recreation camps and activities for children and teenagers with cancer, diabetes or other autoimmune or serious diseases, and their families.
Yuppi Camp organises free therapeutic recreation camps and activities for children and teenagers with cancer, diabetes or other autoimmune diseases, and their families. We are the first camp in Romania that uses the revolutionary method called recreational therapy. Since 2011, 1,966 children and their families from across the country have participated in our camps.
We are the first camp in Romania that uses the revolutionary method of recreational therapy. The success of recreational therapy lies in the fact that the participants take part in activities and challenges where they discover their own abilities, talents, experience a sense of success and thereby increase their self-confidence. At Yuppi camps, children and their families participate in activities such as climbing, equestrianism, rowing, archery, handicraft, acting, and magic.
Given the fact that children with various incurable diseases participate in the Yuppi camps, their medical safety is the first priority for us.
During the camps, full and permanent medical assistance is provided, depending on the type of illness.
The professional and very well-trained medical team (Medical Elves’ Team) consists of specialist doctors: oncologists, diabetologists, paediatricians, doctors with other specialisations, as well as medical assistants, nutritionists, physiotherapists.
Much of the work of the medical team is carried out in a medical office arranged according to the type of illnesses, but the medical staff are present among the children throughout the day and intervene when needed.
Thanks to the specialised staff, during the camp the meals are specially designed to be tasty, but also to respect the diet of each individual child. We can host in our camps children who suffer from food intolerances, for example those to gluten or lactose, or children who are allergic to different foods.
In the children's recruitment procedure, we enjoy the support of 100 specialist doctors from all over the country.

1. Medical registration form: to be completed, signed and stamped by the child's attending physician. The form can be downloaded here.
Please send the completed documents scanned to camper@yuppicamp.ro.
2. Registration form: parents will receive by email/WhatsApp a Google document with some questions that will help us to prepare the camp.
Once the recruitment period is over, a contract will be sent to be completed, signed and sent back scanned by email to camper@yuppicamp.ro or by WhatsApp to 0792744487 by the deadline. We would like to draw your attention that all pages of the mentioned documents must be sent back. We cannot accept incomplete documents after the deadline.
3. Notification: at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the camp, we will notify registrants whether they are on the main list or the waiting list. Children/families who end up on the waiting list should not be discouraged, they have a good chance of attending the camp, and in case of withdrawals, we will contact them immediately.
In the selection process, the factors that most influence the decisions are the conditions of our camp and the composition/profile of the camp team.
In our camps, the number of places is determined according to several criteria, and after the close of registration, in addition to the main list, we also create a waiting list based on the selection criteria. Due to the frequency/rate of drop-outs, children/families on the waiting list also have a high chance of attending camps. We therefore ask them to complete and return the documents within the deadline.
In our camps, children and youth are involved in the following activities:
