Participants, volunteers, ambassadors, and friends of Yuppi Camp swam and supported Yuppi at Swimathon Târgu Mureș. Until June 25th, you too can help them reach their goal: raising the funds needed to cover the camp costs for 5 families with children affected by cardiovascular diseases.
Charitable sporting events always remind us how powerful community involvement can be, and how good it feels to be surrounded by people who care.
"We're cheering for your cause from afar. We hope the 5 families get to meet you and see how wonderful you are. I shared the call to action in all my groups," wrote Andreea, a mother who participated in the family camps, to Julia, Yuppi's ambassador at the Swimathon.
Maria, a dedicated and active Yuppi Camp volunteer who always travels 1.5 days to reach the camps, took part in this kind of fundraising campaign for the very first time. Even though she didn't know what to expect, she was delighted to discover that people donated.
For Sándor, Yuppi's equestrian expert, this is already his 5th year of involvement in charitable sporting events.
Panna, the youngest Yuppi ambassador at the Swimathon and a camp participant herself, raised funds because she wanted to help other children like her reach the camps.
Orsi organized two charity fairs as part of MyFamilyMarket.
Koszorus Krisztina, Koszika ran a small competition with musical prizes for donors.
Tóth Szabolcs, the Yuppi Camp ambassador, although he ultimately couldn't make it to the event, cheered his team on from a distance.
These are just a few of the heartfelt actions that the swimmers and ambassadors took to help chronically ill children. Thank you so much, dear ones!
